This is a super cute rice cooker but it takes twice as long to cook our preferred Calrose rice than other rice cookers. Also, I wish the cord was retractable but that is asking way too much from a budget friendly cooker.

I was skeptical this little vessel would actually make 6 cups of cooked rice, but it did, which is perfect for our shrinking family after the college kids left. Will try brown rice next, that will be the deciding factor. Brown rice takes twice as much water at 8,000′ elevation and is hard to cook. Fingers crossed! Then we might try some other grains. Great so far.

It’s a cute little rice cooker perfect for small meals. Have to be careful as it does overflow easy with the water even if it is not filled to much. Not sure why it does that but is has on me a few time now so I make sure to put less water to try a prevent this but still not get dry rice.
